I have always loved to do
anything creative. I consider it to be a great outlet, and
the results are endless. I woke up one day and decided I
would try my hand at sewing. I borrowed my mother's 30
year old Singer sewing machine and attempted to make a table
runner for my dining room table. I wasn't getting it
right, so I went up to a local sewing machine dealer to ask a
few questions of the ladies there. They were very good to
me, and by the time I left I had signed up for a beginning
sewing class. When the class day finally came, I was so
excited. Five minutes into it, I knew I was hooked.
And so it began...
I took more and more classes,
and then started designing my own patterns. A few months
later, I started Diva Designs. I was confident in my
ability, and I relished creating new things that not only I
loved, but others as well. I started taking orders for my
designs, and I listened to feedback from customers about how to
make my products even better.
I have now ventured into other
avenues of sewing...embroidery is one of my favorites, as is
quilting. I thoroughly enjoy anything to do with fabric,
and I love coming up with new ideas and patterns for products.
I consider myself lucky to have found something that I truly
love to do, and I'm even luckier to have found the time to do
it. : )
